RESOLUTION OF THE CLTY COUNCIL CITY 6F LYNWOOD
APPROVING .THE APPLICATION FOR 198.0 STATE GRANT
MONEYS CITY PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECT-IRRIGATION ~ -
SYSTEM ~ .
WHEREAS., the people°of the-State of California have enacted
the. State Park Bond Act of :1980,:which provides funds to .the
State of California and its .political subdivisions f.or acquiring
lands and for developing facilities for~pub:lic recreation and.
historical purposes; and
"~ VJF:IEREAS; the State Department of Parks and Recrea#ion has
been d:e,l egated the respons i b i'I i ty for the. administration of
the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures
governing application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, .said procedures established by. the :State Depart=
men`t of Parks and Recreation require the app~ticant to..certify
by resolution the approval of applications prior to submission
of said applications to the state; and'
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the
. applicant must comply 'with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement '
with the State of California for the acquisition and/or develop-
' ment of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the. city council hereby:
i. Approves the filing of an.application for 1980 state grant
assistance; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances in
the application; and '
3.. Certifies that.sand-agency has.or.will have.~sufficient ~
funds to operate and maintain the project; 'and
a• -
4. Certifies that'said agency has reviewed and understands the
General Provisions contained in the sample state/local ~
agreeme:r~t; and
5. Appoints the Director of Recreation and Parks as agent of j
the~ci.ty.~to conduct ai.l negotiations, execute and. su6m,it
all documents including but not limited to applications,
agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on which ~ ~~ ;'
may be necessary for.-the completion of the aforementioned.
