RESOLUTION NO. 11 -8228
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMSSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO
CONDUCT A SEARCH FOR A NEW CITY
MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION
OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka wishes to consider a
new City Manager for the City Of Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS, the current City Manager, Clarance Patterson has resigned, effective
September 2, 2011; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby votes to
begin a search for a new City Manager for the City of Opa-locka, pursuant to the process
and criteria set forth in Article I, Section 2-8.4 of the City of Opa-locka Code of
Ordinances and as consistent with Article III, Section 27 of the City of Opa-locka Charter,
such that a new City Manager will be in place by September 3, 2011'.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
