RESOLUTION N0. 81-129
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
ECONOMIC AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the State Department of Economic and Business
Development has solicited proposals for a Century Freeway Early
Action Project using the Economic Development Administration
Title IX funds for technical assistance;
.r- _ WHEREAS,_ the City_of Lynwood's Economic Development
Department submitted a proposal for an integrality study for the
proposed ,Lynwood Commercial Center, which would determine if the
Center could be financed using tax exempt mortgage revenue bonds;
WHEREAS, on June 12, 1981, the Department of Economic
and Business Development authorized $15,000 for the completion of
the above study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City is authorized to execute a contract with the Department of
Economic and Business Development providing for a Century Freeway
Economic Development Early Action Grant;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will abide by all
conditions set forth in the contract received by the State Depart-
ment of Economic and Business Development;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds sYiall be appropriated
to a special-Redevelopment Agency Revolving Fund to be created by
resolution hereafter.
