AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Three Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction in West Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds to Contract No. 21940 with Bates Utility
Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15501, adopted October 8, 2020, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21940; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand ($350,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in West
Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds to Contract No. 21940
with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction in West Lockwood Sanitary Relief
(11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and said contract shall be comprised of such other terms
and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 13, 2022
