AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand
Dollars ($215,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction in Banff Sanitary Relief (Caithness Rd to Lanark Rd) (12085) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22191 with Gershenson
Construction Co., Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Hundred Seventy-
Eight Thousand Six Hundred Three Dollars ($178,603.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Seven
Dollars ($36,397.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($215,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in
Banff Sanitary Relief (Caithness Rd to Lanark Rd) (12085) in the Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22191
with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Banff Sanitary Relief (Caithness Rd to Lanark Rd) (12085) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 18th day of August 2022.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 13, 2022
