Resolution No. 11-8231
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO DETERMINE THE COST AND
FEASIBILITY OF AN EXTERNAL REVIEW OF THE
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires an external review of the
Human Resources (HR) Department; and
WHEREAS,this review would look at policies and procedures currently being used in the
HR Department,including the Personnel Handbook,Charter compliance,and hiring,evaluation and
termination procedures; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager may determine the feasibility of obtaining such assistance
from Miami-Dade County, or from other sources.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. City Commission of the City Of Opa-locka, directs and authorizes the City
Manager to determine the cost and feasibility of an external review of the Human Resources
Department as set forth above.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
