~. CITY OF.LYNWOOD AUTHORIZLNG THE ACCEPTANCE
. OF A ONE-YEAR CAtTRANS SERVICE.CONTRACT N0.
U-7962: FOR T.HE PURPOSE OF~CONTINUING THE
SPECIAL T-105~.CORRIDOR SECURITY PATROL AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City~Council_has determined that a special
security :patrol is needed in the I-105 F leeway Corridor;
WHEREAS, on December 4, 1980, the-City Council authorized
execution .of Service Contract No~.: T-7564 with the California State
:Department of Transportation~in order to provide a special security
patrol, in the.I-105 Corridor in.the:.City of Lynwood; and
. WHEREAS, Service Contract No: T7564 expires as of Decem- .
ber 31,, 19.81;!.;'.
W~HER~EAS1, the' Los Ang~e,les Sheriff's Department has deter-
mined. tfiat `it is vital to t~he~ security needs of Lynwood corridor
residents to maintain the present level of protection offered b.y
the special patrol for another year; and

WHEREAS, the California State Depar ment o` Transporta-
tion has issued Service Contract No. U-7962 for one year from
3anuary 1, 1982 through December 31, 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the. City Council of
the City of Lynwood: _
1. City Council does hereby accept Service Contract

No. 'U-7962.~in the amount of $640,000, i-n order. to
continue ~~ to provide a special security .patrol in the
~'` ~ I-105 Corridor in the City of Lynwood.
