AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Million Nine Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($2,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract A (13018) in the
City of St. Louis, various municipalities in St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22189 with SAK Construction
LLC for sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million Seven
Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars and 10/100 ($2,767,150.10) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty-Two
Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars and 90/100 ($132,849.90); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract A (13018) in the City of
St. Louis, various municipalities in St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22189
with SAK Construction LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract A (13018) in the City of St. Louis, various
municipalities in St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis, County, Missouri pursuant to
bids received on the 22nd day of September 2022.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 10, 2022
