A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUN
CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF
NOVEMBER, 1981, DECLARING THE
'OTHER TATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED
OIL OF THE CITY OF LYNtiv00D,
OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
LYN6d00D ON THE. 3rd DAY OF
RESULT THEP.EOF AND SUCH
BY LAW.
G]HEREAS, a special municipal election was he ld and
conducted in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1981,

as reouired by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and
regularly given in time,-form and manner as provided by law;
that said special municipal election was consolidated with the
Unified School District Board election held on' the same date
and that, caithin the City of Lynwood the precincts, polling
places and election officers of .the two elections were the
same, and that the Board of Supervisors of the County, of Los
Angeles canvassed the returns of the special municipal elec-
Lion and declared in time, form and manner as required by the
provisions~of the Elections Code of .the State of California
for the holding of elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 81-108, adopted
the 4th day of August, 1981, the Registrar of Voters canvassed
the returns of said election and :zas certified the results to
this City Council, said results are received, attached and
-.,made a part hereon as "Exhibit A."
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY ,COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYN~JOCD, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That ~at said special m~~nicipal election
the fo llcwing measure was submitted to the electors of said
City, to wit:
"Shall an Ordinance providing for the levy
soecial tax for fire protection and
services (Paramedic services) be adopted?"
Section 2. That the whole nul-nber of votes cast in
Sa1d City (e:iCept absent voter ballots) was 2,413.
Section 3. That the u;hol= number of absent voter

' Section 4. That the measure voted upon at said elec-
lion is as fo1 lows:
"Shall an Ordinance providing for the levy. of a special
tax for fire protection and prevention service
(Paramedic service) be adopted?"
That the number of votes given at each Drecinct
for and against the measure were as listed in "Exhibit A,".
attached.
Section 5. That as a result of said election, a
two-thirds majority of the qualified voters voting on said
measure relating to Paramedic Service did not vote in favor
thereof, and that said measure was not carried, and shall
not be deemed adopted and ratified.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the
records of the City Council of said City a statement of the
result of said election showing:
(1) The whole number of votes cast in the City;

Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to

'same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and
shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the
records of the proceedings, of the City Council of said City,
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is Dassed and
adopted.
