A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA,TO APPROVE AN ADDENDUM
TO THE AGREEMENT WITH LAWRENCE WRIGHT &
PARTNERS, LLC., FOR ADDITIONAL CONSULTING
SERVICES RELATED TO SHERBONDY PARK
CONSTRUCTION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00), IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY;PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,pursuant to Resolution No. 10-8101,the City of Opa-locka selected Lawrence
Wright & Partners, LLC to provide construction management/inspections services for Sherbondy
Park; and
WHEREAS, additional consulting services are required related to Sherbondy Park
construction, particularly as to funding sources; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to approve an addendum
to the agreement for additional consulting services.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes the City Manager
to approve an addendum to the agreement with Lawrence Wright&Partners, LLC., for additional
consulting services related to Sherbondy Park construction, specifically as to funding sources,in an

amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), in a form acceptable to the City
Attorney.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT LAWRENCE WRIGHT &
PARTNERS, LLC FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR SHERBONDY VILLAGE
COMMUNITY CENTER, AND TO FURTHER AUTHORIZE
THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE A PRICE AND A
CONTRACT ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY COMMISSION;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka issued Request for Qualifications(RQF)No. 10-0524,
for construction management services to oversee the Sherbondy Village Community Center project;
and
WHEREAS, the City received two (2) responses to the Request for Qualifications from
Lawrence Wright Construction Management Services and Grace and Naeem Uddin; and
WHEREAS,the City's Evaluation Committee recommended Lawrence Wright and Partners,
LLC; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the City accept Lawrence Wright &
Partners,LLC,for the construction management services for Sherbondy Village Community Center,
and that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate a price and a contract acceptable to the City
Commission:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to negotiate with Lawrence Wright&Partners,LLC, to provide the construction
management services required for Sherbondy Village Community Center, in order to negotiate a
price and a contract acceptable to the City Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
