HomeMy Public PortalAbout16049 Wet Weather Optimization Study (13436)ORDINANCE NO. 16049 AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the General Fund to be used for planning, design, and engineering during construction phase services in Wet Weather Optimization Study (13436) District-wide; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21958 with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for the aforesaid planning, design, and engineering during construction phase services. WHEREAS, Ordinance 15510, adopted October 8, 2020, appropriated the initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21958; WHEREAS, the District desires to exercise its option to renew said contract for the 2nd year of two one-year option terms; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to be used for planning, design, and engineering during construction phase services in Wet Weather Optimization Study (13436) District-wide. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21958 with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for planning, design, and engineering during construction phase services in Wet Weather Optimization Study (13436) District-wide and enter into the 2nd year of two one-year options; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 12, 2023 by the following vote: Ayes - M. Evans, A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Wahby and B. Watson. Nays - None S ecretary-T reasurer
