A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD REQUESTING THAT THE CALIFORNIA STATE
OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH APPROVE AN EX-
TENSION OF TIME TO COMPLETE THE UPDATING OF THE
HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN

WrrIEREAS, on December 1, 1975,. the City of Lynwood adopted
a Housing Element for•the Lynwood General Plan;
WHEREAS, in August, 1979,. the City of Lynwood received a
701 comprehensive planning grant to amend the Housing Element to conform
to current State guidelines; .
W1~EREAS, in spite of sufficient. budgetary provisions, the City
of Lynwood has not been able to maintain a~d'equate staffing to complete its
updating of the Housing Element;
-NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. THAT, THE CITY COUNCIL
FINDS AND CONCLUDES:
1) That current staffing is adequate to update the Housing Element
in accordance with State guidelines;
2) That the delay in staffing .has created a need for~-more time to- -
complete said updating;
3) That the maximum allowable extension is necessary to ulti-
mately adopt the updated Housing Element.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lynwood City Council re-
quests an extension of one year from the date of this Resolution to complete the
updating and adoption of the Housing Element of the Lynwood General P1a'n.
