APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal services with regard to
ABC related matters; and
\VHEREAS, the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LL~ possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to p,rovide said specialized legal services; and

WHEREAS,the ia';;liffi, of Slavin & Morse, LLC, has submirted a proposal to provide said
services at a maximum cost not to exceed $625.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for
said pUlpose..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ma)"r and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC be appointe.d as special cOUllsel to
address 1\BC license rela~ed matters at a maximum cost not to exceed $625.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a
professional services contract pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
