A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PROJECTS TO
BE FLJNDED UNDER ARTICLE 3 OF THE TRANSPOR-
TATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (SB 821).
WHEREAS, SB821 provides that 2 percent of each
County's total local transportation fund be annually
set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle
and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has adopted a
circulation element to the General Plan of the City of
Lynwood, which includes a bicycle and pedestrian
plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires~to initiate
a bicycle safety program. ;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of Lynwood does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. To authorize the City Manager
as the City's authorized signatory for such application;
SECTION 2. To autholize and approve the
application for all funds available to the City of
Lynwood allocated for bicycle and pedestrian projects.
