A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO .CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER A NUISANCE IS BEING
MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City.Manager of the City of Lynwood has re-
commended that this City Council .find that.a certain .premise within
the City of Lynwood may be maintained in such a way as to constitute
a nuisance; and,
WHEREAS, certain procedures are set forth in Chapter _21
_ of the City Code of the City of Lynwood, pursua~nt~to which nuisances
may be abated;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the aforesaid recommendation of the City Manager, this
Council hereby finds and determines that the following described
property may be presently being maintained in such a manner as to
constitute a nuisance. Said property is described as Lot 23,
Tract 12276, and is generally known as 5407 Pelleur Street, City
of Lynwood.
2. The conditions of said property which may constitute a nuisance
are described as follows:
a. Broken windows in the house.
b. Trash.,~debris and old lumber in rear yard.
c. Front and rear yards badly overgrown.
d. House-being used as a warehouse.
3. The method or methods by which said conditions could be abated
include:
a. Repair all broken windows.
b. Remove all trash and debris from rear yard.
c. Mow and clean front and rear yards and establish regular
yard maintenance.
d. Store all salvageable lumber eighteen inches (18) above
ground.
e. Remove items from inside house and discontinue use of house:e
as warehouse.
4:' This Council ther.efole declares its intention to conduct a public
hearing .pursuant to Section 21.17 of the City Code of the City of
Lynwood to ascertain whether the above described conditions consti-
tute a public nuisance, the abatement of which is. a.ppropriaae _
_. -- - ~ u'nder' the police pouver of the-City of Lynwood.
5. The City Council hereby fixes the hour of 7:30 p.m., duly 1, 1980
as the time and the City Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road, as
the place for said public hearing; and the City Clerk is authorized
and directed to serve and post certified copies of this Resolution
in the manner set forth in Section 21.18 of the Lynwood City Code.
