A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
has retained certain warrants in the lawful execution of
her responsibilities which are no longer required; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has retained certain
records in the. lawful execution of her responsibilities
which are no longer required; and
WHEREAS, Government Code s 34090 permits the
head of a city department to destroy any city record,
document, instrument, book or paper under his charge,
without making a copy thereof, after the same is no longer
required;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The records to be destroyed pursuant I
to this resolution do not include records the destruction
Qsf which is specifically prohibited by Government Code
s 34090, namely:
I
(a) Records affecting the title to real
property or liens thereon;
(b) Court records; ~
(c) Records .required to be kept by statute;
(d) Records less than two years old;
(e) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions ~
of the legislative body of the City of Lynwood.
SECTION 2. The written consent of the City Attorney ~
has been obtained prior to the destruction of any and all ~
city records pursuant to this resolution. i
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby authorized to destroy the following records:
Warrants - May, 1972 to June, 1973.
John D. Ham Park - Receipt No. 30G, dated Septem-
ber 4, 1969 to Receipt No. 778, dated June 14, 1973.
Community Center - Receipt No. 1900, dated -:~
February 11, 1969 to Receipt No. 2358, dated
June 28, 1973. ,

1970 to Receipt No. 6718, dated June 13, 1973.
City Treasurer - Receipt No. 1308, July, 1968-
to Receipt No. 1860, dated June, 1973.

July, 1966 to Receipt 13962, dated June 29, 1973.
Recreation Department - Receipts from July, 1966
to June, 1973.
