HomeMy Public PortalAbout16054 Pump Station Fall Protection Upgrades - Phase 1 (13680)ORDINANCE NO. 16054 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements in Pump Station Fall Protection Upgrades - Phase 1 (13680) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22222 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for pump station improvements. WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Four Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars ($434,865.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Five Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars ($45,135.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station improvements in Pump Station Fall Protection Upgrades - Phase 1 (13680) in the City of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22222 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements in Pump Station Fall Protection Upgrades - Phase 1 (13680) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 8th day of December, 2022. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 9, 2023 by the following vote: Ayes - M. Evans, A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Wahby, and B. Watson Nays - None Secretary-Treasurer
