Resolution No. 11-8260
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) TO
SOLICIT PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED BANKING
INSTITUTIONS TO MANAGE THE FINANCIAL ASSETS OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City of Opa-locka is considering the issuance of a Request for Proposals
(RFP)to solicit proposals from qualified banking institutions to manage its bank accounts; and
WHEREAS,the City of Opa-locka's Bank of Record,has notified the City of its intent to
cease providing services in the governmental services area; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, approves the issuance of a
Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified banking institutions to provide
banking services to the City of Opa-locka.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to issue a request for proposal(RFP),to identify a Bank to manage its Financial
Assets.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
