RESOLUTION NO. 80-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
GUSTAVO REYGADAS TO OPERATE AN AUTOMOBILE AND
FURNITURE UPHOLSTERY BUSINESS ON LOT 13, TRACT 12035,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 12216 SOUTH ATLANTIC AVENUE,
.:CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to law, did on September 16, 1980,
hold a public hearing on- he application of -Gustavo Reygadas for a Conditional
Use Permit to operate an automobile and furniture upholstery business at
12216 South Atlantic Avenue, City of Lynwood;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood, after
giving notice thereof, as required by law, .has .held and conducted a public hearing
concerning said application and has heard and considered all pertinent evidence
presented, has adopted its Resolution No. 701;
W'~IEREAS, said City Council after providing notice thereof as required by
law, has .held and conducted a public hearing to consider said application has heard
and considered all pertinent evidence presented;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood hereby does find, determine, and order as follows:
Section 1. That the proposed use if not properly implemented could be
in conflict with current ordinances governing the CB-1 zone;
_ _ _Section 2. That the proposed location of the conditional use an_d the
conditions under which it would be operated or maintained if not properly
monitored could be detrimental to the public health or safety, and could
materially injure properties or improvements in the vicinity;
Section 3. That certain conditions must be imposed on the subject use to
make it compatible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said City Council of the City of Lynwood
approves a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of an automobile and
furniture upholstery business at 12216 South Atlantic Avenue, Lynwood, subject to
the following conditions:
1. That the interior of the store be arranged in such a way that the up-
holstery work is done at the rear to make it feasible to have stripped
cars at the rear;
2. That the front of the store be properly upgraded by painting and .having
an~appropriate sign subject to the approval of the Planning Department;
'3: - That`~no stripped autos- or unfinished autors or_furniture .be left on the
sidewalk or at the curb along Atlantic Avenue;
4. That all parking for the business be directed to the rear of the build-
ing;
5. That adequate gate facilities be provided at the alley to allow customer
parking in the rear;

6. That the parking lot be improved and striped to facilitate parking at
the rear;
7. That appropriate trash bins be provided at the alley for easy retrieval
by the service company;
8. That a business license be obtained;
9. That all conditions of all other Departments be adhered to;
10. That a professionally designed sign replace the hand drawn lettering
on the walls, which sign should be subject to approval of the Planning
Department;
11. That this permit will expire and be of no further .force ~or :effect. six (6) '~
months from date of issuance unless prior to said date the Planning
.Commission shall have found and determined that:
a. .all conditions of approval .have been met;
b. proponent has not violated any provision of law applicable to
the property or to the use.
