A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SUPPLE-
P~4ENT NO. 1 TO CALTRANS CONTRACT R-7648 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONTINUING THE SPECIAL I-105 CORRIDOR
SECURITY PATROL AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF
FUNDS UNDER THLS SUPPLEI~~IENT TO THE 1980-81
OPERATING BUDGET.
W?iEREAS, on September 4, 1979, the City Council authorized

execution of Contract No. R-7648 with the California State-Depac`tipien~ ~-
of Transportation in order to provide a special security patrol in
the I-105 Corridor in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, said contract is scheduled to expire on September
30, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the California State Department of Transportation has
offered Supplement No, l to contract R-7648 to extend said contract for
90-days through December 31, 1980, in the amount of an additional
$133,950; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to have accurate
accounting of grant projects; and
WHEREAS, the operating budget allows expenditures pursuant to
the City's purchasing code; and
WHEREAS, the supplement to the above described contract was
not included in the 1980-81 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this appropriation
and its budget rriplications .
,NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood:
1. City Council does hereby accept Supplement No. 1 to

security patrol in the I-105 Corridor in the City of
Lynwood;. and ~
2. City Council hereby authorizes the City PQanager to make
the following appropriation:
