A .RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SAMUEL E. ARBUTHNOT
TO CONSTRUCT A 5-BAY COIN OPERATED CAR WASH IN A C-2A ZONE
ON LOT' 1030, TRACT 3025, COMMONLY KNOW]V AS 12233 LONG BEACH
BOULEVARD, LYNWUOD.
WIiERE.AS, .the City Council, pursuant to .law, did on September 1.6_,.1980,
hold a public hearing on the application of Samuel E. Arbuthnot to construct a
5-bay coin operated car wash in a C-2A zone on Lot 1030, Tract 3025, specifically
known as 12233 Long Beach Boulevard, Lynwood;
WI3EREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood, after giving
notice thereof, as required by law, has held and conducted a Public Hearing con-
cerning said application and, based upon the evidence presented, has adopted
its Resolution No. 698;
WHEREAS, said City Council, .after providing notice thereof as required
by .law, .has held and conducted a Public Hearing to consider said application and
has heard and considered all pertinent evidence presented,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby does find, determine, and order as follows:
Section 1. That the site for the intended use is adequate yin size and shape
to accommodate said use;
Section 2. That there will be no adverse effect on abutting property or m-
provements in the vicinity;
Section 3. That the granting of said permit will not be contrary to or ad-
versely affect the General Plan of the City;
Section 4. That the minimum requirements necessary to protect the health
and safety of the community shall be met.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lynwood
appr'6~es a rC~onditional Use Permit to construct a 5-bay coin operated car wash
at the above-described location subject to the following conditions:
1. That plans for the signs be subject to the approval of the Planning
Department;
2. That landscaping be provided on the property and that such landscaping
be indicated on a plan to be approved by the staff of the Planning Depart-
ment and the Building Department;
3. That all conditions of the Engineering Department be met including, but
not limited to, the following:
a. That damaged concrete sidewalks be replaced;
b. That one wheelchair ramp be installed at the corner of Burton and
Long Beach (northwest);
c. That driveways be to commercial specifications as required by
the Engineering Department;
