A.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PE.EiMIT FOR THE FIRST CHRISTIAN
C~IURCH, REPRESENTED BY DR. V. JAMES EDNER, TO OPERATE A
DAY CARE CENTEH IN AN R-3 ZONE, 3340 SANBORN AVENUE, ALL

W~3EREAS, the City of Lynwood .has receive,d an application for a Conditional
Use Permit to allow the operation of a Day Care Center ~on Lot 291, Tract 2551,
specifically known as 3340 Sanborn, Lynwood,
WF3EREA5, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood, after giving
notice thereof, as required by law, has .held and conducted a Public Hearing con-
cerning said application and, based upon the evidence presented, has adopted its
Resolution No. 699;
WHEREAS, said City Council, after providing notiee:t.her:eof as required by
law, has held and conducted a Pablic Hearing to consider said application and .has
heard and considered ail pertinent evidence ~resented,
NOWS THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Lynwood hereby does find, determine, and order as follows -
Section 1. That the site for the intended use is adequate in size and shape
to accomYnodate said use,
Section 2. That the use as proposed by the applicant is consistent with t.he
Mlznicipal Code,
Section 3. That the facility will not adversely impact the residential
character of the neighborhood, -
Section 4. That the si.te for t.he proposed use relates to the streets and
highways properly designed bot.h as to width and type of pavement to carry
the quantity of traffic and parking to be created by said user,
Section 5. T,hat the minimtxm requirernents necessary to ~rotect the health,
safety, and general welfare of the comanunity and the purposes set forth
in the General Plan shall be met.
BE IT FURTHE:R RESOLVETJ, that the City Council of the City of Lynwood
a~proves a Conditional Use Permit to allow t.he operation of a Day Care Center at
the above-described location subject to the following conditions-
1. That any signs placed on the property to designate the child care center
be placed on the Mulford side of the property,
2. T hat all conditions of the Engineering D~~partment be met (replacement of
damaged concrete sidewalks, appropriate driveways onto M~zlford and
-- Sanborn [and any other conditions :im~osed by that Department upon
further inspection]),
-3;... That all conditions of the Fire Department be met with regard to alarm
systems, smoke detectors, proper exits, etc. ;
4. That landscaping with appropriate sprinklers be provided at least on the
periphery of t.he Mulford parking lot,

5. That appropriate.building permit and business
licenses be obtained from the City of Lynwood;
6. That the Conditional Use Permit specifically
permit a maximum of twenty-four (24) children.
