RESOLUTION NO. 98-17
A RESOLUTION OF TItE TRUCKEE TOWN COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE NEVADA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
TO CONTINUE A PARCEL CHARGE FOR SOLID WASTE SERVICES
WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS FOR SINGLE FAMILY UNITS
WHEREAS, Nevada County has requested that the Town consent to the implementation of
parcel charges for solid waste services within Town limits; and
WItEREAS, parcel charges for single family service have previously been authorized as the
primary funding source for solid waste collection organized under County Service Area No. 7; and
WI~EREAS, the 1998-99 proposal is to continue the current parcel charge of $104.46 for
each improved single family residential unit - providing one can service weekly for residential
properties; and
WHEREAS, Nevada County staff has indicated that there is no proposed change in either
the parcel charge or the extra service charge billed by the contractor.
NOW TltEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TRUCKEE, to authorize the Nevada County Board of Supervisors to continue a parcel
charge for solid waste services for 1998-99 within the Town limits for single family units.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Truckee, held on the 7th day of May, 1998, by Council Member McCormack who moved its
adoption, which motion being duly seconded by Council Member Susman was upon roll call carded
and the Resolution adopted by the following vote:
