RESOLUTION N0. 80-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF.LYNWOOD APPROVING AN APPLICATION
FOR FUNDS AVAILABLE UNDER THE DISCRETIONARY
PROGRAM OF THE SECRETARY OF THE BUSINESS
AND TRANSPORTATION AGENCY OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
,... WHEREAS, the legislature has authorized the Secretary
of Business and Transportation to allocate 6.444 million dollars
in discretionary funds for the purpose of public transportation
for low mobility individuals; and
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to apply for such funds;
and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it has certain
unmet transportation needs with respect to low mobility individuals
such as the elderly and handicapped;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City staff is
authorized to submit an application for funds available under the
_ Secretary of Business and Transportation Discretionary Fund Pro-
gram for the purpose of improving public transportation for low
mobility individuals. '
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2~ 1st day of October, 1980.
