RESOLUTION N0. $0.-123 A RESOLUTION.OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION PLAN TO DELETE THE CURRENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC CLASSIFICATION AND .ADD MASTER EQUIPMENT MECHANIC AND EQUIPMENT MECHANIC CLASSIFICATION WHEREAS, job analysis has been conducted on the two Equipment Mechanic positions in the Garage Division which indicated the need for two°distinct classi- ficatons based on differences in requiredduties and skills; and WHEREAS, on October 16, 1980 the Personnel Board approved classification .statements for Master Equipment Mechanic and Equipment Mechanic with the proviso that in-the event of a vacancy the Equipment Mechanic classification would be revised "to specify-.skilled level performance; and WHEREAS, the City Council has studied the need for two classifications in the Garage Division and appropriated additional funds for a reclassification in the Fiscal Year 1980-$1 'City. of Lynwood Budget. NOW, THEREFORE,, THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve that,the Employee Classification Plari be amended to delete the current Equipment Mechanic classification, add the classification statements for. Equipment :.. . Mechanic and Master•Equipment Mechanic, and _directs that the Equipment 1`lechanic 3 ..~ 4classi'fication be revised to reflect skilled level performance for future recruitments.
