RESOLUTION NO. 80-132
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD FIXING THE SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR
THE OFFICE OF CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Council has recently appointed a new City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set forth the salary
and benefits applicable to the office of City Manager,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Salar - The salary for the office of City
Manager hereby is fixed at the sum of $44,00-0 per year, payable
bi-weekly..
SECTION 1. Automobile Allowance - The City Manager shall.
generally be required to supply a vehicle appropriate to the
performance of the duties of his office, and as compensation
- therefor the City Manager shall be entitled to an automobile
..allowance in the sum of $280 per month. In addition to the
aforesaid automobile allowance, the City Manager shall also be
reimbursed at the rate of $.14 per mile (or such other rate per
mile as the City Council may provide for the reimbursement of
the City"`s Management personnel) for each mile driven outside
the boundaries of the City.
SECTION 3. Professional Dues and Subscriptions - The City
shall pay, or reimburse the City Manager upon his payment of,
-- - membe"rshp-due of such professional-and municipal organiza-
tions as the City Manager shall deem appropriate and the costs
" of such publications as the City Manager shall deem necessary
or convenient to the performance of his duties.
.SECTION 4. Professional Development - The City shall pay,
or reimburse the City Manager upon his payment of, all costs
and expenses. incurred in connection with such seminars, con-
ferences, and other activities relating to the professional
development of the City Manager as the City Manager"shall rea-
onably request; provided, however, that the City Manager's
attendance thereat shall have been "approved by the Mayor. (in
the case of seminars, conferences and other activities held in
California) or by the City Council (in the case of seminars,
conferences and other activities held out-of-state).
SECTION 5. Fringe Benefits - The City Manager shall be
entitled to receive such vacation, sick leave, executive leave,
life insurance, health insurance and other benefits of employ-
. ment to which the management employees of the City are enti-
tled, as the same may be revised from time to time by the City
Council.
SECTION 6. Review - The City Council hereby declares its
intention to review salary and benefits of the office of the
City Manager on or before the 1st day of July of each .year.
