A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OE THE
CITY QF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR GRAN;T~ FUNDS UNDER THE SOLID WASTE
P•1ANAGEMENT ACTION OF 1980. ;

WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California
has enacted the State Solid Waste Management Act of~1980 which
provides_funds to certain entities for l,itter cleanup,_,li.tter
~ i
law enforcement, public awareness and education, and purchase
of litter receptacles; and ~
I
WHEREAS, the State Solid Waste Management~Board has
i
been delegated the responsibility for the administration of
the program, setting up necessary procedures governing appli-
cation by loca_1 agencies under the program; and
~ WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State
Sol.id Waste Management Board require the applicant to certify
the approval of applications prior to submission of said appli-
cations to the state.

of the City of Lynwood:
l. Approves the filing of an application for flnding under
~
the State Solid Waste f~lanagement Act Fund; and
~
2. Certifies that said agency understands the general pro-
visions of the grant agreement; and
3. Authorizes the City Manager as agent of the City of Lyn-
wood to conduct all negotations, execute and submit all documents,
including but not limited to applications, grant agreements,
amendments and payment requests, which may be necessary for the
completion of the aforementioned program.
