A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA,TO APPROVE THE FINAL SITE
PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SNAPPER'S FISH
AND CHICKEN RESTAURANT AT THE CORNER OF
VETERAN'S WAY AND TWENTY-SECOND AVENUE,FOLIO
08-2122-025-0270; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, final site plan approval for the construction of a Snapper's Fish &
Chicken Restaurant is requested by applicant for a restaurant to be located on the corner of
Veteran's Way and 22nd Avenue; and
WHEREAS,applicant,Linda Lanna Investments Corporation,has presented a Letter
of Intent and a site plan to build a Snapper's Fish&Chicken Restaurant in said location;and
WHEREAS,the City of Opa-locka Planning Council has reviewed the information
and agreed with the applicant's request for final site plan approval for construction of the
Snapper's Fish & Chicken Restaurant; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to approve the
final site plan for the construction of a Snapper's Fish & Chicken Restaurant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka approves and authorizes the
submitted final site plan for the construction of a Snapper's Fish and Chicken Restaurant at the
corner of Veteran's Way and Twenty-Second Avenue, Folio 08-2122-025-0270.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

RE: Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, approving
the final site plan for the construction of a Snapper's Fish & Chicken restaurant at
the Northwest corner of Veteran's Way and N.W. 22nd Avenue, identified by folio
08-2122-025-0270.
Recommendation: Planning Council and Staff recommends approval of this project. Our staff
recommendation is based on the following: (1) Upon completion, the project will generate
approximately 15 permanent jobs; (2) the project will generate approximately $560,000 in property tax
revenue over the next ten (10) years; (3) and that the site plan approval process will address all of the
flooding and development issues raised at a previous city commission meeting.
Request:
Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, approval of the final site plan for
the construction of a Snapper's Fish & Chicken Restaurant at the corner of Veteran's Way and Twenty-
Second Avenue, identified by folio 08-2122-025-0270.
Description: This project represents the City's first commercial initiative linked to the redevelopment
of Magnolia North. Linda Lanna Investments Corporation, President Paulo S. Maali, purchased a
Liberal Commercial vacant property that borders NW 147th Street, NW 22"d Avenue and Veteran's
Way. The applicant has presented a letter of intent and a site plan to display their plan to build a
Snapper's Fish & Chicken restaurant at this location. This information was presented to the Planning
Council concerning this request. After review of their information, the Planning Council agreed with
the applicant's request and recommended approval of the final site plan for the construction of a
Snapper's Fish & Chicken Restaurant.
Financial Impact: There are no direct costs to the City for this approval.
