APPOINTING COUNCILPERSON
TO FILL VACANCY
WHEREAS, Ronald G. Rios, having been duly elected as a Councihnan in the Borough
ofCarteret has submitted a Letter of Resignation to the Clerk ofthe Borough ofCarteret,
effective March 5, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the time period is which the Borough ofCarteret may act to fill.said
unexpired term as provided by N.J.S.A:40A:-ll expires on April 4, 2008; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
ofCarteret hereby appoints
IRIS COLON
as Councilperson to fill the current vacancy on the Borough Council. Said term of office
shall expire on December 31,2008.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that
IRIS COLON
shall assume all duties as a Borough Councilperson in the Borough of Carteret
immediately upon being administered and affirming the duly authorized Oath of Office.
