RESOLUTION NO. 11-8281
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA THAT ANY
AND ALL COMPROMISES, SETTLEMENTS,
AMNESTY, LIEN REDUCTIONS, AND
FORGIVENESS OF LIENS AND UTILITY DEBTS
INVOLVING CODE ENFORCEMENT OR UTILITY
LIENS OR DEBTS IN EXCESS OF $2,000.000 MUST
COME BEFORE THE CITY COMMISSION FOR
APPROVAL; RESCINDING ALL RESOLUTIONS
IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka is in a difficult financial situation, and the
City Commission desires that all compromises, settlements, amnesty, lien reductions, and
forgiveness of liens and utility debts involving code enforcement or utility liens or debts
in excess of$2,000.00, must come before the City Commission for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka wishes to rescind all Resolutions in conflict
with this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City Opa-locka hereby declares that any and
all compromises, settlements, amnesty, lien reductions, and forgiveness of liens and utility debts
involving code enforcement or utility liens or debts in excess of$2,000.00, must come before the
City Commission for approval.
Section 3. All resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby rescinded.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
