AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Million Six Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($2,650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Amblewood Sanitary Relief (Waterford Dr to Birchbark Dr) (12077) in the
City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22237 with
Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million Two
Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars and Fifty Cents
($2,263,726.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Three Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars and Fifty Cents
($386,273.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($2,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitaiy Replacement Fund for sanitaiy sewer
construction in Amblewood Sanitary Relief (Waterford Dr to Birchbark Dr) (12077) in the City of
Florissant, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22237
with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitaiy sewer
construction in Amblewood Sanitary Relief (Waterford Dr to Birchbark Dr) (12077) in the City of
Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of January, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 9, 2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - M. Evans, A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Wahby, and B. Watson
