HomeMy Public PortalAbout16066 Florissant Dunn Sanitary Relief (St. Anthony Ln to I-270) (12178)ORDINANCE NQ.16066 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Million Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($5,680,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in Florissant/Dunn Sanitary Relief (St. Anthony Ln to 1-270) (12178) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22236 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Five Million Two Hundred Nineteen Thousand Nine Dollars ($5,219,009.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Sixty Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety- One Dollars ($460,991.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($5,680,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Florissant/Dunn Sanitary Relief (St. Anthony Ln to 1-270) (12178) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22236 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in Florissant/Dunn Sanitary Relief (St. Anthony Ln to 1-270) (12178) in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 11th day of January, 2023. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 9, 2023 by the following vote: Ayes - M. Evans, A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Wahby, and B. Watson Nays - None S ecretary-T reasurer
