Minutes
Chair Jim Hungerford called the meeting of the Orleans Renewable Energy Committee to order at 5:06
in the Skaket Meeting Room at the Orleans Town Hall.
Present: Paul Cass (PC) ,Victor Noerdlinger, Jim Hungerford(JH)
Absent:: Jon Fuller,David Abel
Orleans Resident: Kevin Galligan(KG)
There was continuing discussion about our plans for the Municipal Offtaker Program initiated by the
state of MA. Here are some of the issues that were discussed:
(PC) Can we investigate other suppliers besides CVEC---yes
(PC)What are the financial issues if we go it on our own?
i (PC)Any new buildings should include Solar PV
(PC) We should investigate"Smart Metering"for use in Orleans
(VN)Who is paying for the installation of the Orl Capped Landfill Solar PV project ?
(PC)Has contacted Judy Wilson of the COA regarding future showings of the film"Switch".
Judy's recommendations are to show it beginning in Sept...recommended time is 2-3 PM.
(VN)Has asked for a copy of our committee's charter. A copy will be attached to these minutes.
The Capped Landfill Project is progressing according to plan. The platforms and supports for the PV
panels can be seen from both Giddiah Hill Rd and the Transfer Station.
No additional correspondence
The minutes from 6-26-14 were approved by a vote of 3-0-0
The meeting was adjourned at 5:46 PM by a vote of 3-0-0
