RESOLUTION NO. 11-8297
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA,TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT
THE CITY MANAGER TO CONSULT WITH THE FIU
METROPOLITAN CENTER FOR THE REVIEW OF ALL
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP), REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS(RFQ),BIDS,COMPETITIVE BIDS,NON-
COMPETITIVE BIDS,AND TO HAVE THE CENTER ACT AS
A LIAISON COMMITTEE FOR RECOMMENDATIONS TO
THE CITY COMMISSION AT NO CHARGE TO THE CITY;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The FIU Metropolitan Center is the leading urban "think tank" in South
Florida and has a solid record of providing services to communities; and
WHEREAS, the Center provides consulting services that takes into account the unique
needs of individual communities; and
WHEREAS,the Center will act as a Liaison Committee for recommendations to the City
Commission of the City of Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires that the City Manager
access the consulting services of the FIU Metropolitan Center for review of all Request for
Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Bids,competitive bids, and non-competitive
bids.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida authorizes and
directs and directs the City Manager to consult with Fill Metropolitan Center for the review of all
Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Bids, Competitive Bids, Non-
Competitive Bids and to have the Center act as a Liaison Committee for recommendations to the
City Commission of Opa-locka at no charge to the City.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
