AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Eight Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in White Plains Sanitary Relief (Saltbox Dr to Cedar Creek Rd) (12280) in the
City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22249 with Girdner
Contracting LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Six
Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand One Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars ($1,678,149.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seventy-One
Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-One Dollars ($171,851.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in White Plains Sanitaiy Relief (Saltbox Dr to Cedar Creek Rd) (12280) in the City
of Chesterfield, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22249
with Girdner Contracting LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitaiy sewer construction in
White Plains Sanitary Relief (Saltbox Dr to Cedar Creek Rd) (12280) in the City of Chesterfield,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of February, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 13, 2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - A. Feb’, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, M. Evans, B. Watson and B. Wahby
Nays - None
