HomeMy Public PortalAbout1990-41IA Member /f/%jtaed introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR CHERRY HILL FARM SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for trunk sanitary sewer and water main facilities and streets, lateral utilities and curbs and gutters in phase I of Cherry Hill Farm Subdivision, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the bids summarized on Exhibit A attached hereto were received complying with the advertisement; and WHEREAS, it appears that S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. The mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with S. J. Louis Construction, Inc. in the name of the City for trunk sanitary sewer and water main facilities and streets, lateral utilities and curbs and gutters in phase I of Cherry Hill Farm Subdivision according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the clerk -treasurer. 2. The contract hereby authorized is contingent upon receipt by the City of a letter of credit or other adequate financial security from Hans Hagen Homes, Inc. in the amount of $238,119.51. 3. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
