RESOLUTION GRANTING AN AMENDED
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
HOLY NAME OF JESUS CHURCH
WHEREAS, Holy Name of Jesus Church (Applicant) has been granted a
conditional use permit by Resolution No. 82-14 dated July 20, 1982, and Resolution
No. 86-41 dated May 20, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has applied for an amended conditional use permit
to allow expansion of the church parking area; and
WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the planning commission on May 8,
1990, and by the City Council on June 5, 1990; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that granting an amended conditional use
permit to the Applicant will not impede the orderly development of adjacent
properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota that an amended conditional use permit be granted to the
Applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Applicant shall construct an earth berm on the east side of the
expanded parking lot to shield adjacent neighbors from the parking
area;
2. The Applicant shall install landscaping in accordance with city
standards and to the satisfaction of city staff;
3. The Applicant must obtain written approval of the new parking lot
plans from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District;
4. There shall be no additional exterior lighting of the parking areas;
5. The new parking areas shall be constructed to city standards;
6. The Applicant shall close and refrain from using the temporary
parking north of Co. Rd. 24 when the new parking areas are
completed or by November 1, 1990, whichever occurs first;
7. The parking area shall have a total of 12 spaces dedicated and signed
for handicapped use;
8. The Applicant shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined
by the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing this
amended conditional use permit application; and
9. The terms and conditions of this amended conditional use permit are
in addition to the terms and conditions of the conditional use permit
granted to the Applicant on July 20, 1982, by City of Medina
Resolution No. 82-14, and May 20, 1986, by City of Medina
Resolution No. 86-41.
