RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, lVUDDLESEX COUNTY,
STATE OF NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING SUB~HSSION OF A
"LOAN APPLICATION" AND '~DESIGNDOCUMENTS" TO THE NEW JERSEY
ENVIRONMENTAL INFRASTRUCTURE TRUST FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2009
FINANCING PROGRAM FOR THE WATERFRONT PARK WATER SERV[CE
PROJECT
"WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret (hereinafter referred to as the "BQrough") is in the
P[~ess ofplalloing for the installation of new potable water service for waterfront park and
adjacent future uses (hereinafter referred to as the "Project"); and
-WHEREAS, the Borough wishes to construct the Project at the lowest possible cost, and
therefore wishes to submit a "Loan AppIicati~n" and "Design Documents" to the New Jersey
Department of Environmental Protection an.d the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust
(hereinafter coUectively referred to as the "Tmst"); and
.WHEREAS, the Borough has previously authorized its professional staff to prepare any
and all necessary documents in conjunction with the Project and has therefore been presented with a
"Loan Application" to be submitted with supporting "Design Documents" for funding through the
Trust; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has reviewed the aforementioned which it finds to be acceptable
as to form and content.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 19th day o[February 2009, bylbe
Borough of Carteret, as foUows:
1. The Borough accepts the recommendations of its professional staff and authorizes the
execution of a "Loan Application" for funding through the Trust fOf the Project.
2. The Borough authorizes and directs the Mayor and Borough Clerk to ex~cute any and all
necessary documents in order to implement the intent of this Resolution_
3. A copy of this Resolution shall be fOlwarded to Donald J. Norbut, P.R., and Robert J.
Bergen, Esq.

2009 and certified as a true copy'
of the original on February 20, 2009.
