RESOLUTION NO. 98-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE
RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 14, 1998,
DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTI~ER MATTERS
AS PROVIDED BY LAW
WHEREAS, a Special Election was held and conducted in the Town of Truckee, California,
on Tuesday, April 14, 1998, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and manner as provided by law;
that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and that in all
respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and
the returns made and declared in tune, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections
Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general law cities; and
WHEREAS, the County Elections Department canvassed the returns of the election and has
certified the results to this Town Council, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof
as "Exhibit A."
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED TI]AT THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TRUCKEE, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the results of the returns for Measure A are as follows:

YES 1557
NO 448
SECTION 2. The Town Council does declare and determine that Measure A passed.
SECTION 3. The Town Clerk shall enter on the records of the Town Council of the Town,
a statement of the result of the election, showing: (1) The whole number of ballots cast in the Town,
and (2) The total number of votes given for and against Measure A.
SECTION 4. That the Town Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.

The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Truckee, held on the 7th day of May, 1998 by Councilmember Drake who moved its adoption,
which motion being duly seconded by Councilmember McCormack was upon roll call carried and the
Resolution adopted by the following vote:

NOES: None
ABSENT: None

hereby certify that, in pursuance to the provisions of Elections Code
Sections 15308 and 15309, I did canvass the results of the votes cast in
the Town of Truckee Special Tax Ejection and Tal~oe Truckee Unified
School District Special Bond Election, held on April 14, 1998 for and
against each measure submitted to the vote of the voters. I hereby
further certify that the whole number of votes cast in Nevada County
and the whole number of votes cast for and against each measure as
set forth as totals in these columns to be a true and correct copy of the
records in my office.
