AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCALAGREEMENT WITH WOODBRIDGE
TOWNSHIP FOR DIESEL EMISSIONS TESTING
\VHEREAS, the Township of Woodbridge is desirous of entering into an Interlocal
Services Agreement with the Borough of eartcret for Diesel Emissions Testing services;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is desirous of entering into said agreement with the
Township; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET as follows:
1. pursuant to the authority provided by the Municipal Interlocal Services Act,
NJ,S.A. 40:8A~1 ~the Borough ofCarteret deems it to be in the public
interest to enter into an Intcrlocal Services Agreement with the Township of
Woodbridge for the provision of Diesel Emissions Testing services at the rate
of$75.00 per vehicle.
2. The Mayor and the Municipal Clerk of the Borough of eartcret are authorized
and directed to execute and attest, respectfully, on behalf of the Borough of
Carteret that certain Interlocal Services Agreement providing for the provision
of Diesel Emissions Testing services by the Township of \Voodbridge. The
aforesaid agreement shall be in the form substantially similar to the agreement
on file in the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
3. The aforesaid agreement authorized hereunder shall be for the period
December 1,2008 through December 31, 2009, unless otherwise agreed to by
the parties.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption and publication
according to law.
Adopted this 19" day of March, 2009 and
certified as a true copy of the original on
March 20", 2009.
