AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
CME ASSOCIATES, RE: TAX MAP MAINTENANCE
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering
services in regard to tax map maintenance; and
\VHEREAS, CIvm Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
.WHEREAS, C:ME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services
at a total cost not to exceed $3,500.00; and
\VHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
\VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NO\V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough ofCartcret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services in
regard to tax map maintenance, at a total cost not to exceed
$3,500.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:II-5(1)(a) awarded pursuant
to the Borough's Fair and Open process as authorized by law.
3. ,A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and CME Associates.
Adopted this 19" day of March, 2009
and certified as a true copy of the

Dear Mr. DuPont:
It is our understanding that the Borough of Carteret is requesting an update to the digital
tax maps in AutoCADD format. We propose to digitally update those sheets that require
revisions due to the subdivision items to be supplied to our office,
Upon completion of the updates, the deliverables shall include:
Borough Tax Assessor: One (1) full size set and one (1) reduced size set;
Borough Clerk: One (1) reduced size set;
Director of Municipal Engineering: One (1) reduced size set;
Borough Building Department: One (1) reduced size set;
Middlesex County Clerk: One (1) full size set.
Total Fee Estimate ............................,............................................................ $7,500.00
Exceptions: .
. Any engineering and/or land surveying services beyond the scope outlined above will
be considered extra. Said fees will be based on the hourly rate or a fixed fee
mutually agreed upon in writing.
. The fees on the hourly rate schedule are subject to change by January 1 of every
year.
. The terms of this contract will remain in effect for a period of one year from the date C)
