RESOLUTION NO. 12-8340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, TO ESTABLISH A SEARCH
COMMITTEE TO SOLICIT FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
FOR THE CITY CLERK POSITION OF THE CITY OF OPA-
LOCKA; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Clerk's position of the City of Opa-locka is vacant and needs to be
filled; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to create a committee
to recruit a qualified candidate to fill the position; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 09-15, amended Article I, Chapter 2, Section 2-8.4, of the
City Code, Search Committee Established, to permit the City Commission of the City of
Opa-locka to serve as the Search Committee if so desired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Session 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Session 2. As per Article I, Section 2-8.4 of the City Code, entitled "Search
Committee Established", the City of Opa-locka Search Committee will solicit for a qualified
candidate to fill the position of City Clerk for the City of Opa-locka. The Committee will be a
five member committee composed of the City Commission.

Section 3. This Resolution shall upon adoption,become effective immediately.
