AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Million Four Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract B (13019) in the
City of St. Louis, Municipalities of St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22241 with SAK Construction,
LLC for sanitaiy sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitaiy sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Two
Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty-One Dollars ($3,237,441.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Sixty-Two
Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($162,559.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitaiy sewer
rehabilitation in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract B (13019) in the City of
St. Louis, Municipalities of St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22241
with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) Contract B (13019) in the City of St. Louis,
Municipalities of St. Louis County, and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received on the 22nd day of March, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B Watson and B. Wahby
