AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Hundred Five Thousand
Dollars ($205,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of
Deer Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Dearborn Dr Storm Sewer (11205) in the
City Warson Woods, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22253 with
Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Fifty-Nine
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($159,627.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Five Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Three
Dollars ($45,373.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Five Thousand Dollars ($205,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek for storm sewer construction in Dearborn Dr Storm Sewer (11205) in the City of Warson
Woods, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22253
with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Dearborn Dr Storm Sewer (11205) in the City of Warson Woods, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 21st day of March, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11,2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Watson and B. Wahby
