AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Four Million Four Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($4,400,000.00) from the District Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer
rehabilitation in Stormwater Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) (13128) in
Municipalities of St. Louis County and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22243 with SAK Construction, LLC for storm
sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer rehabilitation is Four Million Two
Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents
($4,277,847.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
One Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars and Fifty Cents
($122,152.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the District Stormwater Fund for storm sewer
rehabilitation in Stormwater Infiastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) (13128) in
Municipalities of St. Louis County and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract
being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22243
with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer rehabilitation in
Stormwater Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (2023) (13128) in Municipalities of St. Louis
County and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 13th day
of February, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 11, 2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, B. Watson and B. Wahby
