AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($100,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund and Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction in Saylesville Sanitary Relief (Saylesville Dr to S Greentrails Dr) (12200) in the City
of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22263 with
Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitaiy sewer construction is Three Million Two
Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars ($3,273,273.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Six Hundred Twenty-Six
Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars ($626,727.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund and Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary
sewer construction in Saylesville Sanitaiy Relief (Saylesville Dr to S Greentrails Dr) (12200) in
the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as
have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22263
with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Saylesville Sanitary Relief (Saylesville Dr to S Greentrails Dr) (12200) in the City
of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of April, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 8, 2023 by the following vote:
Ayes - A. Fehr, R. Wilson, G. Nicozisin, M. Evans, and B. Wahby
