AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($780,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station
improvements in Valley View Pump Station (P-734) Replacement (12262) in the City of
Wildwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53006 with Kelpe
Contracting, Inc. for pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Seven Hundred
Fourteen Thousand One Hundred Forty-Three Dollars ($714,143.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred
Fifty- Seven Dollars ($65,857.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($780,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station improvements in
Valley View Pump Station (P-734) Replacements (12262) in the City of Wildwood, Missouri; said
contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53006
with Kelpe Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements in
Valley View Pump Stations (P-734) Replacement (12262) in the City of Wildwood, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 10th day of July, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 14, 2023.
