AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($5,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Valley Sanitary Relief Phase III (13444) in the Cities of Clarkson Valley
and Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53014 with Pace
Construction Company, LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Four Million Three
Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($4,356,265.50)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seven Hundred
Ninety-Three Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars and Fifty Cents ($793,634.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($5,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Valley Sanitary Relied Phase III (13444) in the Cities of Clarkson Valley and
Ballwin, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53014
with Pace Construction Company, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Valley Sanitary Relief Phase III (13444) in the Cities of Clarkson Valley and
Ballwin, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 10th day of August, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was Adopted October 12, 2023.
