AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($1,200,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump
station improvements in Wilton Lane Pump Station (P-412) Replacement and Storage (12288) in
the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53016 with Kelpe
Contracting, Inc. for pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million One
Hundred Fifteen Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars ($1,115,965.00) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Four Thousand Thirty-Five
Dollars ($84,035.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station
improvements in Wilton Lane Pump Station (P-412) Replacement and Storage (12288) in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 53016
with Kelpe Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements in
Wilton Lane Pump Station (P-412) Replacement and Storage (12288) in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 23rd day of August, 2023.
The foregoing Ordinance was Adopted October 12, 2023.
