New Council met at 12:00 noon.
1.1ayor Elect H.J.Vahlsing and the new Councilmen
were present-.
?:Rayor Vahlsing have been duly sworn in as Mayor, proceeded
to swerr in the new Uouncil, by administrating the oath of
Office to W.Haa.ck-H P Kruse- Geo Lindaman- H L Lu!ve- and

'Iayor Vahlsinp presented his Bond, and on motion by
Kruse second by Luwe that the Bond of the Tayor be arm_roved.
motion carried.
It was moved by Luwe second by Kruse, that the rules be susner_ded,
and that G.ff.Geerdes be elected_ To,7Tn Clerk by acclamation.
'.Lotion carried.
G.H.Geerdes was declared elected Town Clerk, for the ensuing;
two years. -
It was moved by H L Luwe that the council adjourn to 8:00
o'clock P.:;I. motion carried.

Council met as per adjournment;-
.:ayor Vahlsing presiding7,and all councilmen present.
It was moved by Kruse second by Luwe that the Bonds of
the Clerk and Treasurer be approved- motion carried.
Mayor Vahlsing appointed the following committee's.
Finance- Kruse- Luwe- Haack
W. ?Yorks - Okones- Luwe- Kruse
Ordinance- Kruse-Lindaman- Okones
Street &
Alley- Lindaman- Okones- Haack
Sewer- Haack- Luwe- Lindaman
Purchasing- Luwe- Okones-Lindaman
Fire- Okones- Haack- Kruse.
On motion pay for common labor was set at 55 cents per hour.
Pack comp ission name, were- H C .Haack- H L Luwwe and H J Vahlsing.
It was moves'. that the salary for combined Marshall -
Street Commissioner- Water Pir per- Ditsposal Plant care taker,
be set not to exceed 8135.00 per month- Carried.
It was moved by Luwe second by Lindaman thet the pay of
Special police be set at "3.00 per day. motion carried.
The following Resolution was adopted.
"Be it resolved that the Clerk be an('. is hereby authorized
to pay the following; claims when presented to him, to issue
warrants in vacation for payment of the follow ink; claims;
Street Lightning;- Power bills- Freight & Express- Postage -
Telephone tolls , and salary's of all regular employee's, .-hen
proper bil-'s are presented to him"

It was moved by Kruse seconf. by Haack that the Peoples Sav bank
Wellsburg, be desirrnated as Depository for the Town fun(fs.

Treasurers monthly/was received, read and order --laced on file.
It was moves, and. seconded that the regular councilmeetin--s be
heald on the first 41.Ionday in the month at 7:30 in the winter months
and at 8:00 oclock P1.1 in the sup,.mer months. motion carried.
Mayor Vahlsing admonished the council and expressed_ h's
wish that all problems confronting the council, or any individual
councilman,should be brought before the council as a body, and in
meetings, where prover discussion should be held, and that no one
councilman express his own individual opinion outside of the
councilmeetings majority opinion, and no personal expression
be otherwise made.
There being no further business, it was moved by Okones
second by Kruse to adjourn.

as Health Physician for the ensuing term.
It was Moved by Luwe second by Okones that this
Council adopt all the rules an(' Regulations of the State
Board of Health and abide thereby- notion harried.
It was moved t1,at the Clerk notify Obbo an(' Frederika
Nlennenga tTAat they dispose of. the Cesspool on their nronerty
east of the School House, and make proper connectior to the
sewer. motion carried.
Tere being no further business it was moved to adjourn.

Council met a s a Board of Review.
Councilmen all present, Yeil Okones was appointed
secretary and F? P Kruse Chairman of the meeting.
Assessor R'W Ross nresemted his assessment to the council
and the body reviewed the books.
After reviewing about one half the assessments, it
was moved by Haack second by Kruse that we adjourn to Anril
4th at 7:30 P.M.
April 4th 1944.
Boar., of review met ns ner adjournment, all councilmen
present-.
The Assessment was reviewed and considered, and after
completion thereof, it was moved by Luwe sedonc by Haack
that the assessment as shown by the Assessor books be a.nnroved.
